Vision Statement

We, the officers and staff of the Pulaski Police Department, strive for a public perception that views this agency and its members as trusted leaders in their community. The decisions we make affect the quality of life in the Town of Pulaski. The central themes underlying this philosophy are values that guide our actions while we discharge those responsibilities entrusted to us. Our prime directive is to “do what is right even when no one is watching.” We embrace our community with a spirit of trust through a moral foundation of integrity, a Code of Ethics, and a philosophy of being the community’s helping hand.

The men and women of the Police Department value human life, honesty, and the Constitutions of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia. We also value the Body of Law, our community, problem solving with our citizens, excellence in the performance of our duties, and accountability for our actions; along with the cooperation and teamwork of our members. Our values are qualities of worth and as such are non-negotiable.
