Gosh.........that has been a few years Was a partner in the stations until we sold out to Cumulus. I'm sure they are doing a lot better job than we did when we ran it even though we had outstanding people working there, just as they do. Just this weekend the former morning man for the Bear, Pat Kelly, came into town from Mass. and we were able to spend some time together. Despite my lack of abilities the stations were successful and some of those folks went on to bigger and better things in the broadcast industry. Oh well, enough about the past - back to getting ready for our big move to the Richmond area. - Ronald D. Walton

Thank you for your post! And yes, it is amusing - if only I had a dime.............well, you get the picture. Also, before you praise my words too much, please understand that I am totally against this strike and my second opinion piece on it will reflect so. - Ronald D. Walton

Mr. Walton, very good comment and we in the silent majority appreciate you recognizing who we are and what we stand for. Your article was so good in fact that someone posted it on another website message under another name. I thought you might find that amusing. - Johnnie Carter

Pray for the strike to be over.

This is my first time to this mb. I'm sorry to hear some of the negativity toward Volvo UAW workers. My husband is currently on strike, and is anxious to go back to work. I pray everyday for a peaceful resolution. For my family and all of the others concerned. I also pray for the company because afther all, without them my husband would not have a job. We don't take this lightly, and my husband is far from lazy or spoiled. This job is a blessing, and so are the benifits it provides. We currently do not have health insurance because of the strike. We received information today stating that it would cost $1500 a month to continue our coverage if we self pay. So I don't know many families who can afford that. Wouldn't you fight to keep that coverage and security for your family's health? If you were working in an environment that might not be safe for you, wouldn't you push to make it a safe place? Of course you would. So please everyone, stop complaining and start praying. I pray that everyone could have a job as good as this and the security that it provides for families. We know what we have, and want to keep it. My husband was laid off several years ago for 2 years and we lost everything we had, so we know that without this job that could easily happen again. Saving is more difficult for some than others, and even with savings it only lasts so long when you have to live off of it. So I ask for all of your prayers, and I in turn will pray for you. - Christy
