April 24th, 25th, and 26th from 8:00am to 6:00pm. It's the Annual Spring Plant Sale at Virginia Tech. There will be a great selection of trees, shrubs, tropicals, herbs, vegetables, grasses, annuals and perennials. Also come out and get some ice cream and BBQ from the Ag Econ Club. The location of the sale is at the Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech Tech off Washington St.

University program in Bangladesh wins international award
Innovations that greatly increased crop yields for farmers in Bangladesh have won international acclaim for a Virginia Tech program doing research on pest management. The Asia-Pacific Forum for Environment and Development (APFED) gave its 2008 silver medal to the Integrated Pest Management Collaborative Research Support Program (IPM CRSP), led by Virginia Tech's Office of International Research, Education, and Development.
Medieval Feast and Faire held by dining services garners national honors
Virginia Tech's Housing and Dining Services was recently awarded a 2008 Best Concept award by Food Management Magazine, a gold medal, and the grand prize Loyal E. Horton award for special event catering by the National Association of College and University Food Services for the Medieval Feast and Faire dinner.
