You must register by Wednesday, October 1st for this October 9th and 10th trip. Explore the heart of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains with an overnight stay at the Breaks Interstate Park Lodge. The park features over 25 miles of nature trails, Lake Lure with native bass and bluegill. Hike a portion of the park trail system to take in breathtaking views of the mountains and take in a nature program with the park rangers. You will have time to explore the park featuring 25 miles of nature trails, Lake Lure with native bass and bluegill or rent a pedal boat to explore the 12 acre lake. During the evening we will visit Mountain Art Works, a unique restaurant and gallery featuring Appalachian artists, mountain music and really good food. We will also take in the Ralph Stanley Museum, an interactive museum combining the career of Ralph Stanley and the history of traditional mountain music. Meals will be on your own. The cost is $115 double, $135 single transportation and admission fees.
