Barbara Capps, a retrospective exhibit of the work of a noted local artist who passed away in 2007 is at the Montgomery museum and Lewis Miller Regional Art Center during the months of July and August. Ms. Capps was an independent artist who worked in varied motifs. Many of these motifs were drawn from her extensive world travels, She was extremely influential in the region both through the character and quality of her own work as well as through the work produced by many of her students. The exhibit will be in place through August. A reception will be held on July 11th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm to celebrate the opening. The reception is free to the public with refreshments.
