On December 7th, it's southwest Virginia's largest holiday tradition. This picnic at the Pops favorite expands to include dancers from the Roanoke Ballet Theatre along with the full Roanoke Symphony Ochcestra & Chorus, plus the 150 voice Roanoke College Children's Choir. Dinner will consist of a picnic style meal at the Salem Civic Center. The Montgomery County parks and recreation is organizing a trip for residents. Your $72.00 Fee includes transporatation, production and dinner.
Should you desire to attend this great event on your own, tickets are: Front Table seat $44.00; Rear Table seat $34.00; Stadium, lower $28.00; Stadium, upper $23.00; Stadium, rear $14.00: (child 12-under, seated w/ adult) $14.00. Tickets may be purchased at www.rso.com or at the Roanoke Symphony Box Office.
Also note that the Symphony will be playing at Virginia Tech the following night.
