Basic Pistol Course sponsored by the Montgomery County Parks & Recreation and the Shawnee Hunt Club. This instructional course is open to all that are legally permitted to handle firearms. It consists of two evenings of classroom training followed by three hours of range instruction on Saturday. This is an ideal class for men and women contemplating ownership of a firearm or those just wanting to expand their knowledge and skills. All of our instructors are Certified NRA Firearm Trainers. This Basic Pistol Certification is a prerequisite for taking the more advanced Personal Protection Course. Due to the popularity of this course and the limit placed on the number of students accepted, applications are considered on a first come, first served basis. So don't put off signing up for this interesting and informative course. Registration deadline is October 1.
