Registration deadline is October 15th for this October 20th course from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the Riner Firehouse. Neal Turner, Montgomery County Emergency Services Coordinator, and Dawn Barnes and Barry Robinson of the Virginia Extension Office will give helpful tips and advice on how you can prepare in the event of a disaster in your area, landowner and farm issues will also be covered. You will learn ways to develop plans and assemble disaster supplies that will assist you when the emergency occurs. Fire and rescue members from the Riner area will be on hand to answer questions that you might have concerning an emergency in your neighborhood. The cost is free.
