September 5th starting at 7:30pm (doors open at 6:00pm) at the Roanoke Special Events Center. The City of Roanoke invites its citizens and Virginia Tech fans to a celebration of the 2008 football season. The formal program is sponsored by WDBJ7.The Voice of the Hokies - Bill Roth - will emcee the event featuring: a showcase of academic programsand collaboration with the Virginia Tech Roanoke Center; the Hokie Bird mascot; Virginia Techcheerleaders; the Corps of Cadets Highty-Tighties band; and the 2008 Virginia Tech football team. SUBWAY spokesperson Jared Fogle will be at the pep rally participating in the SUBWAY Virginia TechSuper Fan contest as part of his Roanoke tour celebrating his 10-year anniversary of keeping theweight off.
