Date: Saturday, July 05, 2008 At 08:00:00 AM
Repeat Event: Every Day until July 06, 2008

Bike Racers, the 4th of July weekend will be a great weekend for you with the ID3Races, part of the Coventry Commonwealth games. It's a 3 race weekend with a total $6500 purse starting in Roanoke on Friday the 4th with a downtown race that starts at 12:00noon. Racers will race downtown Roanoke on a 5 corner, 3/4 mile course that offers fast, long straightaways and classic brick sections. On Saturday the 5th, it's the Mill Mountain Time Trial. This classic uphill time trial covers 1.87 miles & 900 ft. elevation gain. Start times based on when you register. First rider off at 10am with 60 sec. intervals. $1,500 on the line for the 25 fastest times of the day - regardless of category! Sunday the 6th Blacksburg hosts its first race in years with a fast .8 mile loop through the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center. Two wide roads, a big ring hill, and a handful of technical corners make for a challenging but fair course. For more information, click here.
