Runs August 19th thru September 23rd from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the Blacksburg Community Center. This program provides fun, fast-paced soccer-related games and activities. It develops motor skills, cognitive abilities and peer relationships and introduces children to soccer. The Little Striker's staff has been carefully selected for their ability to work with these young players, enthusiastic personalities and remarkable patience. NRUSA has trained the Little Strikers coaching staff in the latest philosophies of the USSF National Youth Coaching Courses. All children taking part in a Little Strikers session will be in highly imaginative situations and asked to make their own decisions. The importance of competing with themselves and not against other children is a main focus of the program. Each child needs their own soccer ball and will progress at their own pace.
