July 24th and July 28th, 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Blacksburg Community Center, 725 Patrick Henry Drive. Find out about the drafted Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The master plan provides a 20-year vision for the Town of Blacksburg's Parks and Recreation facilities and programs. The plan includes assessments and recommendations for all 540 acres of park land, the Community Center, Aquatic Center, Golf Course, a wide range of programs, and future parks and facility needs for the community. The plan also identifies the top 10 priorities for the town to focus on over the next 20 years. During the open house, citizens will have the opportunity to review the key recommendations of the plan, see a number of conceptual plans for new athletic fields, outdoor pool, greenways, natural areas, and a Nature Study Center.
