New River. Saturday, July 19th from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Registration begins at 7:30am at Whitt-Riverbend Park. Come on out for this prestigious New River event. This seven mile sprint race will be held on the New River from Eggelston to Rippelmeed during the annual State Coventry Games. There will be different classes for different ages and types of boats, so if you are an avid canoeist or kayaker don’t miss this one. The race will start from the Eggleston put in. The race is approximately 8 miles long on moving & flat water.  You will encounter Class I and II  rapids in this section.  The finish line will be the confluence of the New River and Wolf Creek right at the Park.
