New River Valley Driving School in Christiansburg will be presenting "Shattered Dreams", a mock DUI crash drama this Friday, May 2nd at 1:00 p.m., rain or shine at the Christiansburg High School Football Stadium. In attempt to raise awareness of the negative consequences of impaired driving, "Shattered Dreams" will be presented to the sophomore, junior and senior students of Christiansburg High School, with students from Blacksburg and Auburn High School also attending.
The mock DUI Crash is an accurate re-enactment to drive the message home and offer a choice. This event is a collaborative effort from the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, Christiansburg Police Department, Christiansburg Fire Department, Virginia State Police, Carilion Life Guard 11, Horne’s Funeral Services, Harmon’s Service Center and SADD members. Media Partners WSPK 107.1, Hot 100 and the Bear 103.5 radio stations will promote this event. Scott Stevens from WPSK will narrate Shattered Dreams. Don Walker from Hot 100 and Joe Johnson from Bear 103.5 will provide remote broadcast.
This event is open to the public and is a "must-see" for anyone concerned about the effects of drinking and driving.
