Jonathan Byrd And Windfall At The Floyd Country Store (7:00PM)
Saturday, December 6th at 7:00pm. Enjoy one of the highly acclaimed Saturday night concerts at the Floyd Country Store this week featuring Jonathan Byrd. Byrd splashed onto the folk scene in a big way. After winning the North Carolina Songwriter’s Co-op ‘Song of the Year’ in 2000, he released a debut album with a maturity usually only heard in the majors. As a recording artist, Byrd slides easily from bluegrass into country, and then into country blues. The opening band Saturday night will be Windfall. This Floyd group is a dynamic acoustic quartet featuring beautiful harmonies coupled with hot guitar, mandolin, fiddle and harmonica licks. The Floyd Country Store is at 206 South Locust Street (State Rd. 8).
